It plays nothing like SS3 I was specifically reminded of The Second Encounter in so many places during my SS4 playthrough, especially as far as the quality and content of secrets goes. The dumbest complaint I see parroted everywhere, though - and I'm not sure who that notion originally came from - is that it allegedly "plays like Serious Sam 3", which could not be more wrong, and that they "should go back to the classics" - the problem is that they already did, and they did in Serious Sam 4. didn't have any of the crucial patches that came out since then. Most of the users going around and bashing Serious Sam 4 seem to simply parrot what Gmanlives and other reviewers have said, and Croteam fucked up in a major way by sending them review copies that were bugged up to all hell i.e. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits. ![]()
